about

I dug into the archives for this one - I believe this was recorded as a single for an online music blog called Ampeater some time in 2009 or 2010(?)
In John Fahey's "How Bluegrass Music Destroyed My Life" (A fine book), he discusses re-discovering Skip James. In that glorious chapter he is aghast at the fact that Skip James tuned his guitar to an open D Minor chord! As soon as I read this, I ran over to my Avalon 12 string (now since moved on to a new home) and tuned it to D Minor. This short song was the result. I hope you enjoy. Thank you again for listening.
