Every heart has turned to fire Every star has met it's horizon Now it's safe to open your eyes Come and tell me where you been. I've been lost in the last great sea I've been doused at the river bank When you run so long from the great red star, The Great Heart drifts away. Every man has lost his heart And every heart is in your hand I will paint a picture for you Ask me all the questions you have. Will I see when the sea turns to city? Will I know when the river runs black? Will the Great Red Star shine a light around here? Will the Great Heart ever come back? Forget the Great Heart you've known and wash away your bone-white skin. Left alone to pump your blood It's a fine thing to feel again.

Pull out my hair for love and keep it on the oaken floor. Step on the glass and keep down your voice And I will say nothin' no more. I cover my face for some, but you don't see no one but me. You kiss all my cuts, and raise up your cup While I steal the things I need. So cover your oaken eyes and think of me in black and white Out on the sand with blood on my hands Everything is goin' just fine. Pull out my hair for love and keep it on the oaken floor. Step on the glass and keep down your voice And I will say nothin' no more.

Red on the vine so bright, deep in the winter light, under the low and icy sun. You will not hear my song, you will not know my name, but red on the vine I pray for you. They say a man who wants isn't a man who loves - Deep in my heart I know they're wrong. 'Cause I have wanted truth, and I have wanted you, and I'm a man who's known much love. Buildings of fine black glass under the city night make me feel old beyond my years, so I will strike them down, so I will build anew, then on the vine I'll wait for you.

Slow as Snow 03:36
Through the dust you could just see the words coming down. They looked like stars, they looked like angels, falling down slow as snow. All of my prayers they were answered, all of my cares had come and gone. I watched my words fall like dancers and let night come slow as snow. In the morning when I was awoken, I could not see the pale red sky. They fell all night, they fell in bunches, and buried me here slow as snow.
